Now, I return to our main topic, about what art is; I think it is something like playing for high stakes, or a kind of challenge, about how far one can harmonize with the fundamental energy of Universe, through one's own filter of sensibility, by one's true self of the divinity lying inside, and, when one has acquired the means capable of expressing it, then there appears art, the fine arts, I think.
As the expressive means for art, there may certainly be what is never expressed without techniques, such as a great skill in sketching or the excellence in perspective drawing, but yet the most important thing is the true self of one's own in a soul of a heart, which might be called the divinity in your words, I feel such word , so, if one is absorbed only in developing such techniques and forgets to faithfully sympathize with the divinity as divine child, the energy of love of Universe, the high vibration of love, which is said to be a kind of earnest application, or a challenge, or rather a quest, I mean true art cannot exist without it.
How far can one express it? It depends on one's spiritual awakening, being reflected to one's works exactly as it is. One can express it even if he or she does not have difficult expressive means. I have lived showing that. I have painted with such a mind that I would say no against such justifications as, "I do feel actually a high, a very high vibration, though I cannot express it due to my poor expressive means, so nobody appreciates me."
In fact, I had not graduated such a school. I had not graduated an art school either, nor possessed a skill of sketching, about which I guess you can see by looking at my paintings. Nevertheless, I really connected directly to the source of Universe by my own self; if one has attained love harmonized up to such degree, when one faces God with an honest mind according to one's own heart, one's body naturally comes to be animated so as to serve as a passage of God's love, and then will take action by itself simply and innocently, longing for the drawing and painting of God's love. That is the way to express it. There is not a theory.
Having been looking at you, and also those people who were around me, I have to say that so many people of this world are only able to give logical and tedious talk, meanwhile unable to take action, for having only theory and knowledge in their brains without having willpower and courage in their hearts. Too many people are like that. It is not logic. Inside of a heart, — it is no problem to have logic, it is okay, but first of all to feel God inside of a heart is necessary. Feel the harmony of God and Universe, the harmony of love by the sensitivity exactly. By a heart. Then if knowledge follows, that would be fine.
But, what is made much of is only knowledge. There are too many people of this Earth with such mind. If you have learned something even a little, if you have felt something even slightly, call up your courage and take action. I hate such cowardly persons who feel and know God, moreover with difficult words, though neither act nor fight for their own way in a life. Such persons know nothing in a true sense, understands nothing. For the person who has truly understood, knowledge is good enough in the slightest.
On the contrary, the knowledge crammed in too much may be therefore blocking the way to express the thoughts of your true selves within, which lead you to sympathize with God. Looking around, I have found so many cases like that. Knowledge is not blamed. I also understand that to know is certainly significant for growing the ability to judge, and for opening one's eyes. But, before focusing on that, one has to seek God, love, the harmony, and the way to pour the happiness into people's thoughts, and I think that such a way starts from feeling one's honest mind after all.
To sense or feel is to be treated lightly as if it were an idiot with inferior intelligence. Isn't there such a tendency in the present Earth? There is such a tendency in Japan also. The one believes as if he is intelligent. But he doesn't understand the most important thing. Such one is excessively theoretical and shifts each ones blame onto someone else, and actually his mind is in a whirl of only tangled greed or occupied by self-justification and excuse, or a blaming mind to others. But a human life is, as I have mentioned a while ago, to find out the light of life one by one, through the way to challenge desperately within one's actions, even if you run into a variety of ordeals, living through one's life with all one's might.
In that way, living the life seriously one by one for all one's life, one will encounter the true preciousness of the love of God and the tremendousness of the life of dignity inside yourself. One who does not think of determining to live a life desperately and expressing one's own love through actions never knows it forever.
Trying to understand only with your brain. Trying to understand only through the knowledge. Being in the mood of having understood by pouring forth only words. But actually, what are lying inside a mind are only desires. I have kept being used by such kind of people. I have no knowledge, and I have no desire. So, because of such a nature of mine, I guess I was ideal for such people to be used by them. I might have been defenseless. But, one who has put on such a thing as desire cannot connect directly to God forever, nor harmonize with the high vibration of the harmony of the love of God, a love everlasting.
